Common reasons signatures are rejected
- The file is outside 10–100 KB. Coaching websites that list a lower upper limit can lead you to over-compress.
- It is not a JPG/JPEG file.
- The signature is not clearly legible, for example pencil, light ink or a shadow across the paper.
- The scribe's signature was uploaded in the candidate's field. The bulletin lists the scribe's signature separately, with its own 10–100 kb limit.

What is the NEET signature size in KB?
Between 10 KB and 100 KB, in JPG/JPEG format, according to the NTA Information Bulletin NEET (UG) 2026.
I read the limit is lower. Which is right?
The official bulletin says 10–100 KB. Several websites list a lower range that does not match the bulletin.
What dimensions should my signature be?
The bulletin does not set dimensions. Maru crops to a wide signature frame by default and labels it as a Maru default.
Does a scribe need a separate signature file?
Yes, where a scribe is used, the bulletin asks for the scribe's scanned signature too, also between 10 kb and 100 kb.
